Kexin Lu got her MS major in Computational Design, CMU. During her study, she worked as a research assistant in both Morphing Matter Lab (HCII) and School of Architecture. As a researcher, her interest focuses on using computational design as a tool to explore the infinite possibilities of nature-inspired relationships of form and function.
Holding a B. Arch degree in Architecture, Kexin shows her profession in envisioning the complexity and controllability of intricate 3D structures by creating procedural workflows of geometry generation.

About Me
I...I am curious about the growth of leaf venation, and how the infill structure of a nautilus helps it control the buoyancy; I generate coral, anemones, and half-blooming flowers; I want to understand how lichens and fungus live together, and the algorithm for generating nebulous, flames, clouds, oceans and forests. I look into the feathers under the microscope, and I hear the tiny hairs gossiping in the wind...
